The election of a Coalition Government in May this year marked the start of a series of changes to the NHS. A proposed new structure, new policies, the devolution of arm's length bodies and the creation of the new primary care organisations have left many suppliers and service providers wondering what the future holds for the new and ongoing relationships with the NHS.
These proposed changes, as well as the current economic climate, will have an impact on the NHS as a marketplace and as a service provider. From 2011, new budgets will be set and the NHS will come under pressure to make huge cost/efficiency savings to make up any short-fall but without compromising patient care.
Fines for excessive carbon emissions also come into force in 2011 for the NHS, emphassing the need to focus on sustainability and CO2 reduction. These challenges for the NHS however provide new opportunities for suppliers and partners. Can you make a difference? Find out by attending this one-day event.
